Quote from Viper93 :I will be going. I live near Oxford and willing to convoy up there.

Well, it looks like to will be stopping at Nottingham services. You can join the back of the Conga Line there

Personally, I think ANY news posted on "Dave's Daily" may not be 100% true.

Quote from mcgas001 :Nice, Seems like this could turn out to be a good event

Yea it should be. The good thing about coming up from the south is that people can join on the way up

The "current" list of people who would be able to tag along on this convoy if they so please are...

mcgas001
beefyman666 - Name not on the list though
Me

Maybe a few south-wales boyos could pop along, but I will make a thread nearer the date. Or even now-ish, if you'd prefer

Well, I should be coming up the night before, but I would rather go up rather with someone else, or as a group type thing. I don't fancy driving all the way to Newcastle by myself, then arriving with my Southern Fairy Westcounty accent.

But at least I can be safe in the knowledge I have a person to meet when I arrive, even if it is Bob

What time were you planning to actually have the meet-up. I guess we will all be enjoying a lunch together? Because the actual event may start at 2/3pm with everyone meeting up at say 1-ish for lunch.

The best place for us to meet you would be where the M42 joins with the A42, then we would set off on the M1 together.

If my James May calculations are correct.

Moo has disband AFAIK.

Think yourself lucky pal...

344 mi – about 5 hours 48 mins.

Where abouts are you. Also, you better look out, you will get a slap around the head from me for being banned from Redline Racing.

Well, a little nearer the date, I was going to arrange an LFS South West convoy as I know a few of us are coming up from the Westcounty.

I'm right in the middle of Devon. Junction 27 is my nearest junction.

Like I said, nearer the date, we can get a list of name and locations, and work out the quickest route that would allow us to "pick" everyone up.

Edit: Just actually READ your post, instead of scanning it. If I get a few people up for this convoy idea, we could arrange a place on the way to stop and for you to join the breaker breaker 10-4 convoy. Then atleast a few of us can have a few drinks together.

I think us South West-ers have no option but to leave on Friday evening, as say we are all meeting up @ 1pm on Saturday, we would have to leave very early in the morning.

I'm gonna have to leave Friday evening after work. Arrive very late at night, if not early morning. Enjoy a few adult beverages if I arrive early enough. Sleep in a B&B/Travelodge. Meet up for you bunch of crazy monkeys, on Saturday. Spend Saturday night having a few adult beverages with a few LFS Northerners (Not my idea of fun but what can you do...) Sleep in a B&B/Travelodge. Go home Sunday.

Won't be as cheap as it will be for say Bob. But fun cost money

If I went up, I would go on the Friday evening, spend Friday night in a B&B or Travel Lodge, have a few bevvies, spend Saturday with you fools, then spend Saturday night in the B&B/Travel Lodge and go home Sunday.

One place I can think of where I go from 6th to 2nd is T1 at SO6 in the FBM.

I hit the brakes at the right point, and flick my paddle (NOT a euphemism, thank you) as fast as I can till I reach second. The engine break allows me to bring the car down to the speed I need to take the corner quickly.

If I changed down slowly then I would over shoot the corner, I could just brake earlier but then I wouldn't have any kind of edge over the other drivers

Thats a bit of a shame.

Hopefully things will pick up for you Tristan

I've very interested. The only F1 manager games I've used are the "Money + Pick Driver + Engine/Chassis/Gearbox etc = Your Team" format, which it would be nice to avoid

I'm not thinking about it. I have it.

Its a first car. It does 125mph. It pulls very well through the gears.

It's MORE than I'll ever need for a first car. Any faster, I'm in serious danger of killing myself.

Also, why the fcuk would I want to drift it?

The engine in mine is the M43, chain driven y0! As you said, its the same engine as in the 318. In most of the range, not just compact.

Edit: They are about a tonne. Not that heavy really.

Edit 2: Show me a 50cc that will do 125mph stock. Not even worth measuring the 0-60 times

Quote from mr_x ::o fully comp?!?

Haven't checked Fully Comp yet. Doesn't seem worth it to be honest. Not yet anyway. They will just write the car off if its involved in an accident anyway.

Quote from robt :Well maybe ill bring it to an LFS meet some time...and rub it in your face though you'll probably sit there laughing as i empty my pockets for a drink as all my money went n insurance

Drinks are on me if I get a drive
